Flippo Construction Company, Inc. is looking for a HR Generalist to join our fast-paced, hands-on, employee-owned construction company. Applicants must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to translate documents and interpret during conversation. Job requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 18 years of age, ability to pass a post-hire drug/physical screening, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Applicants must be self-motivated, dependable, organized and detail oriented.


  1. Orient new-hires on company policies, safety rules, job description, expectations, and employee benefits program.
  2. Input new-hire information into current employee database. 
  3. Translate documents and interpret as needed. 
  4. Aid as needed in the recruitment of all field and office personnel. 
  5. Conduct a minimum of two employment verifications on all applicants prior to the employment offer. 
  6. Maintain the employee database and update or terminate current employees as needed. 
  7. Respond to requests for verifications of employment. 
  8. Become E-Verify certified and run all new and rehired employees through E-Verify's system. 
  9. Run reports as needed
  10. Maintenance of DOT files and record keeping to ensure 100% compliance with Title 49 CFR, Part 199 (Drug Testing Pipeline Safety).
  11. Perform exit interviews on departing employees
  12. Develop comprehensive knowledge of all available company benefit packages.
  13. Schedule, organize, and help with special events
  14. Maintain and update the Human Resources Bulletin Boards at all equipment yards, major projects, and other areas as needed, but minimum of a quarterly basis.
  15. Inventory stock and purchase office supplies.
